Soon :(

Apologies again for delays. I've been busy as all hell and also had to be working mostly at stuff that keeps money coming in and all, but this project is still going to be continued. Also, my GF found out about it, and is cool about me writing absurd porn games for the masses, so I'll be able to work on it more freely and openly now.

Kinda apropos of that, does anyone have any suggestions for a method to accept donations other than paypal? I looked into having a donation button feeding into that, but they seem pretty pissy about withholding payments on technicalities and stuff. The best idea I've got so far is something like a in depth "world guide" available through smashwords, which'd give you extraneous background info - which I'd have no problem with people sharing here or elsewhere - which people could buy if they wanted to show support.

Updated version soon, I got one with a load of bug fixes in, but with the nature of the game - having to download a whole new version for each update and losing your saves - I wanted to keep it till there was actual new gameplay content in the build before releasing.

While I'm on, HUGE thanks to Valente for his link on the Flexible Survival blog, it has boosted my traffic through the roof. You are a legend/ :)

Thanks for all the support, I'll try to answer all the questions raised in the comments to the last post within a day or so.

Yeah I had found you through Val.
Really wanting to see the encounter list, but I have no moneys.

Great game, too!

I'll get the encounter list done and it'll be up for free, for everyone. The e-book would just be some random extra stuff for people to give cash to the project, if they want to. I have just been seriously time starved recently. Thanks for playing the game!

Your GF telling you she knew had to have been either the best or worst conversation ever. Can't wait for the new build, and I'd definitely be up for kicking over a few bucks to support this game.

SeldomPie,
If you are just looking for an easy (and cheap) online payment system for accepting donations, you might want to check out Dwolla.com.
For small transactions their fees are pretty low.

WARNING! My recommendation would be to set up a separate bank account just for incoming donations, and don't use your personal account.

Oh, I've been checking your site everyday for the last 5 days or so for word on the update, so glad to hear that the GF is cool with your interests. Also you may want to check out how Fen (fenoxo.com) manages his time/donations/blog posts for ideas on how much effort to devote to your coding. Not saying you should copy him, but he seems to have worked out a "business model" for his work.

There is one thing i love and one thing i hate about your game...

Love: how the girls get trough different stages of infection as the time goes on.

Hate: how the infection of the PC doesn't affect him at all =\

It would be interesting to see some kind of effect on him as well.

Beside that, great job, keep it up!

Can't wait to see these new snapjacks... Thinking about trying to code up a few new attack types for enemies, namely a counter/charged attack that punishes you if you attack the turn after it's used but fails if you wait, a way to make certain attacks have limited uses, so you can give a girl a powerful attack/status effect without the chance of her rolling it several times in a row and roflstomping the player. Assuming you're okay with me monkeying with your code.

Greetings from Pornarium! We've added you to our link list, and both Taco and I highly anticipate your further releases. The replayability factor of your game is astounding, and the time mechanism is very intriguing!

I can't figure out how to run this. It doesn't run on its own, and no interpreter is listed... so????

SeldomPie said...

It should run on its own - just unzip it, then double click on the icon of a girl with pink hair.
What OS are you using?

SeldomPie said...

Thanks guys! The time mechanism will be used even more in the next update - later today hopefully.

No problem with this in theory, but I am a pretty poor programmer, so I might not be able to get anything you do working. PM me on the CoC forums if you're still up for this and we can talk about it more!

Thanks for the suggestions and support!

Wait, hold on. I'm using 7zip and when i try to unzip it it says unsupported compression method. So what happened was everything was still zipped.
