New Build - V008 - Village Green Preservation Society Edition

 Okay, whimsy aside, there's a fair bit of new stuff this time.

* Most of RickRaptors Rasna stuff should be in there, it might bug out. I still haven't got the stuff in that deals with the transformations if you haven't met her

before then. It's a complex bit, so it could well bug out, just let me know what goes wrong and bear with me.

* Added "non-exploration mode" option. This basically lets you visit all locations from the start. I've been a bit unhappy with the scavenge/explore options being separate, there's less and less sense in that as the game develops. I'm not sure if this is the way forward, just experimenting. Having the whole world open from the start makes more logical sense, but stops the slow progressing of opening up the world. Have a play, let me know what you think.

* Awesome new Sharona graphics for fat goth and goth and chubby housewife, and a fancy effect when you meet an enemy. Also, changed the way text is shown during combat to you can actually see the enemies now. Still not perfect, need to move the menu text too, but it's a start.

* A new area! The village green. You can find a clothes shop there.

* Because you have clothing now, and can switch outfits!

* Three new enemies, all with defeat scenes, all can be met on the village green. They are all mutant types, so you can't find them till day 20 or so.

* Test character can skip 5 days at a time from the base menu.

* There's currently 33,333 words in the game. That seems an auspicious number.

There's bound to be a load of bug out with all the new stuff, so let me know what goes wrong and I'll fix it as soon as I can.  Any other stuff, suggestions for new outfits, girls, shops, etc, feel free to hit me with those too.

EDIT - first bug report in, - if you choose to enable exploration, you can't pick your class, but apparently the non-exploration mode seems okay, so far. You can try playing without a crash, but I suspect it'll cause bugs, cause you won't have any clothing defined. So probably best to play with the new non exploration mode till I get a new version uploaded, which'll be tomorrow.

Apparently you can't choose your class in new game anymore. When you start a new game, only 2 option, if you enable exploration or enable intro. Anyway, nice work, pal.

So, if you choose to enable exploration, you can't pick your class, disable exploration seems to work fine for now.

It's going to be tomorrow though, sorry, I needs to sleep soon, and the compiling and uploading take about an hour. Just have fun with the exploration-free mode for now I guess, I think not having a class will cause crashes pretty quickly.

The flashing battle screen is really distracting, maybe an option to turn it off? The text also sometimes being on the top of the screen and sometimes at the bottom doesn't help much either.

Since the rasna lust-reduction bug still is there, i decided to dig into it myself. The code setting lust to 0 has a typo. It says lust == 0 instead of lust = 0. The last scene with her is missing lust code completely. I still don't understand why the masturbate command never works, no matter how often one visits her, since rasnaint seems to be properly increased on visits. Then again, i find it a bit stupid that masturbate would depend on rasnaint anyways.

Nice update and like the pics. On a design note, as mentioned a few posts above it's best to keep text more or less in the same place. Having it move around between combat rounds makes it awkward, especially if you're got to hunt for something in a list of options. If possible it's best to have the choices to reappear in exactly the same spot for easy rechoosing of the same option.

Anyway, nice progress and looking forward to more, cheers.

Maybe add an option to not have graphics in combat maybe for those who may just want to image their enemies??

The enemy stats of whats going on should definitely stay on the screen in combat. It's kind of annoying to have no idea what all my stats are before I have to choose an action.
