Money Grubbing

Looking into ways to accept donations and payments to help support the game, and kind of hitting brick walls. All the half decent sounding paypal alternatives I've found are US only, except google wallet, which mysteriously refuses to accept my details, though they should be fine. I don't want to use my regular paypal account as they have a history of flipping out over erotical things, and I use it for other purposes.

I'm looking at going back to my original idea, of having a silly short story - probably MMM related, maybe just tangentially - for sale on smashwords, so people who want to support can buy that, and get a fun silly story too. The downsides would be that it'd be a fixed price, and that smashwords only pays out quarterly, which isn't ideal.

I think I'll go with it anyway, at least as a stopgap. But anyways - anyone know a good UK available alternative?

I'll have a new build up tomorrow, hopefully, with a few new buts and bobs and fixes, and a awesome new art from Sharona.

Patronize the Arts

Everyone is loving the arts, and with good reason, because the arts are ace. You guys got good taste.

Getting all the girls illustrated takes time though, and if there's specific characters or scenes you'd like to see sooner, Sharona will do them quicker if you buy a commission! Contact Sharona at thatsharona@gmail.com saying which girl/scene you want done. This is limited to girls and scenes already in the game.

I mean, you can commission whatever you like, but only scenes and girls that are already in the game will get put in the game, if you follow. If there's a character you'd like adding to the game, contact me via the email on the side bar.

New Build - Spooky Edition V0081

Seasons greetings, happy midwinter festival of your choosing, and hello again Fenoxites!

Okay, having some uploading weirdness. Seems the same as the issues I was having before, but I got a new browser (chrome) and that seemed to solve it. Now it's happening with chrome too. Basically uploads fine, til verifying, then fails. However, the straight from renpy files seem to upload okay, so I dunno what's up. This means I can upload the winrar versions, but can't make the 7zip ones for people who were having issues with that, sorry. I'll see what I can do. For now -

Windows winrar version -

http://www.mediafire.com/?j1xyx2z8fc6o6d1

Multi format version (mac, linux, windows) here -

http://www.mediafire.com/?usylu98cojv1cgt

New stuff -

* Rasna stuff should now trigger, as should egg laying nerd. At last. I fucking hope.

* More work on the combat screen, it still isn't finished, but should look a bit better. Now uses centralized boxed buttons, and should always display

* More random stuff like book and porn mag titles and clothes. I doubt anyone cares about that stuff, but it amuses me.

* Spooky house is now explorable! It's pretty basic at the moment, you just wander through four spooky rooms, chosen at random, til you find your way out, but it's a start. The only enemies you'll met there right now are endless spooky dolls. And speaking of which -

* Awesome new Sharona arts for girl next door, dick girl, spooky doll and goat girl. And the goat girl gives us our first nakedness  in the game arts. That's a landmark I guess?

* You should now get to choose your character class in the exploration mode again.

I have a few characters and things half done that I'll try to add soon. Might get to add them over the holiday, might not have time. No promises.

Let me know what you think, tell me about any bugs and typos, and have a great whatever-you're-celebrating.

New build soon, then we slow down some

Okay, working on the game now, I've got the character choice working again, new Rasna stuff should now trigger, and I've changed the combat screen a little, though the layout of that is still temporary. I'm even going to see if I can finally get that dammed egg laying nerd to trigger. Also, there's a couple of amazing new Sharona character arts. I'll be uploading it either before I sleep tonight, or tomorrow if I peg out before I can get it done, uploading takes around an hour. I'll see if I can't shove another npc or defeat scene or something in too.

After that, I'm afraid things are going to slow down for a while - I have a shitload of important real-life work that I've let slide and really need to get done, and that's going to be ongoing till at least the end of January. I'm sure I'll still end up adding bits and pieces, and will add any thing Sharona finds time to send my way, but the real life stuff needs to take priority. Once that's out of the way, I'm going to be back working on this with a vengeance - we're getting an average of about 1750 hits a day at the moment, and I'm sure if I keep adding to it, that'll continue to grow. Like I've said before, I'd love to get to the point where I can monetize this a little, so I can feel justified in dedicating more time to it.

Thanks for all the support and feedback you've shown so far, the games come a crazy long way in just a few months, and it wouldn't have without the encouragement of you all. You fill this crazy old porn-mongers heart with joy.

EDIT - By the way, what does everyone think of the non-exploration mode as compared to the old way of having to unlock things go by go? Better or worse?

New Build - V008 - Village Green Preservation Society Edition

We are the office block persecution affinity
God save little shops, china cups and virginity
We are the skyscraper condemnation affiliate
God save Tudor houses, antique tables and billiards

Okay, whimsy aside, there's a fair bit of new stuff this time.

* Most of RickRaptors Rasna stuff should be in there, it might bug out. I still haven't got the stuff in that deals with the transformations if you haven't met her

before then. It's a complex bit, so it could well bug out, just let me know what goes wrong and bear with me.

* Added "non-exploration mode" option. This basically lets you visit all locations from the start. I've been a bit unhappy with the scavenge/explore options being separate, there's less and less sense in that as the game develops. I'm not sure if this is the way forward, just experimenting. Having the whole world open from the start makes more logical sense, but stops the slow progressing of opening up the world. Have a play, let me know what you think.

* Awesome new Sharona graphics for fat goth and goth and chubby housewife, and a fancy effect when you meet an enemy. Also, changed the way text is shown during combat to you can actually see the enemies now. Still not perfect, need to move the menu text too, but it's a start.

* A new area! The village green. You can find a clothes shop there.

* Because you have clothing now, and can switch outfits!

* Three new enemies, all with defeat scenes, all can be met on the village green. They are all mutant types, so you can't find them till day 20 or so.

* Test character can skip 5 days at a time from the base menu.

* There's currently 33,333 words in the game. That seems an auspicious number.

http://www.mediafire.com/?fffvbw1t1z8vjye - mac/linux/pc

http://www.mediafire.com/?pdwj1s4m6f3ai1w - windows 7zip

There's bound to be a load of bug out with all the new stuff, so let me know what goes wrong and I'll fix it as soon as I can.  Any other stuff, suggestions for new outfits, girls, shops, etc, feel free to hit me with those too.

EDIT - first bug report in, - if you choose to enable exploration, you can't pick your class, but apparently the non-exploration mode seems okay, so far. You can try playing without a crash, but I suspect it'll cause bugs, cause you won't have any clothing defined. So probably best to play with the new non exploration mode till I get a new version uploaded, which'll be tomorrow.

God save the village green.

New Build Tommorow

Okay, been both as busy as all heck and annoyingly unable to concentrate on anything, but still managed to find a few hours to work on this this week.

Got most all of RickRaptors Rasna stuff in now, and man, it is an epic. It probably took 90% of the time I've spent on the game this week, and probably comprises about 5% of the total game text. I think maybe in the future, I'm only going to add things this big and detailed once I have a donation system set up. It's good stuff, has some clever skill use, and I'm sure you guys will like it, but it took forever to work out and set up the different possible situations and get it all working, and was complex enough to not be much fun to actually put in the game. I dunno, we'll see how it goes, it's been a heavy week, maybe I'm just feeling run down.

I've got the battle screens working better with the graphics now, the menu is still a bit ropey, but at least you can see the enemies clearly now, and I'm adding a couple more defeat scenes and stuff too.

I'll keep adding stuff for now, and upload it by the end of Sunday, europe time.

Sunday, 9 December 2012

Sunday Service

Going to try to get some more of the user submitted Rasna stuff implemented today, and to add some defeat scenes for NPC's who are lacking them too.

Characters I know are outright missing them are - 4chav and 5chav, manticora & snapjacks.
Are there any npc's that use the generic madlibs sex scene that you think deserve their own custom one?

Also, while play testing last night, I noticed that the fruits didn't seem to be working quite right. The idea was that what each fruit type did was set randomly at the start of each game, but was consistent during the course of the game. The way it is now it seems that they're random every time you pick one, which is annoying. Looking at the code and I'm sure I've done something obvious wrong but can't spot what.

So yeah, basically, sorry for the random-fruitage. I'll figure it out.

A  heads up - this is possibly the last time I'll get to spend more than a few hours at a stretch on the game this year. I'll try to get stuff done on it and have updates here and there, but am going to be crazy busy.

Saturday, 8 December 2012

V0071 - bug squashing

****DON'T USE OLD SAVES - For now, start a fresh game with each update. Otherwise you'll get bugs and things I can't control. Sorry.****

Okay, just a real quick update with some game wrecking bugs removed.

*Training should work fine now - I'd mistyped a stat. It now seems to work fine for me. Soem one reported getting a crash whenever he tried to play because of the clarinet - I can't replicate this. Let me know if there's any more problems.

*Checking your status at the hotel should work again, another stat typo.

*Some people have reported vague combat problems, to do with lust attacks? It seems to be working fine for me, can't work out what's up. If there's still issues, please give me as detailed an explanation of the problem as you can.

*Farmgirl has eyes now!

*Sharona sent me a goth, so I stuck her in. We're going to need to resize her, though - she kind of pops off the top of the screen ATM.

*Someone reported that a bug to do with the plants is still happening - I can't figure out what this is, seems to work for me. Let me know more if it happens to you.

New update today or tommorow with more minor fixes and content.

Multi format download - windows, linux, mac
http://www.mediafire.com/?6y8cjfu8r7rwpj7

Windows only 7zip
http://www.mediafire.com/?hdoekvy733jd7ro

It took me more than an hour to build, un and re-zip and upload this shit. I think my computer is dying. :(

Update with more content later.

EDIT - keep meaning to add this - a guy called Zarin messaged me to tell me about a problem he was having with the game, and a solution he found. I have not had this issue, so I cannot vouch to this working. If it screws things up or makes your computer or loved ones explode, it is not my fault. Anyway, her is Zarins explanation. Cheers Zarin.

Hey, I downloaded your game, which is fantastic by the way, but encountered a problem when I first had it. I unzipped it fine, and the .exe booted with no problems, but all I had was a black window with no text or discernible options. After reinstalling Direct X and several other random stupid things, I actually found a solution for the problem, and I thought you may want to post it. I've seen a few people in the comments on your blog with the same issue I think.

First, you make a text file in the same directory as the MMwhatever.exe The text file has to be called Environment.txt

Second, you add the line RENPY_GL_ENVIRON="fixed" to the text file, and save it

Bam, problem solved. Not bad for someone with no programming experience eh?

Keep up the fantastic work, and I hope this is somewhat helpful.

V007 - Graphic Test Edition

http://www.mediafire.com/?4zqcxfod6wtq0za

Multi platform build, unzipped from the format Renpy zips it into and re-zipped into a 7zip because people are still having problems unzipping apparently. Renpy told me not to unzip and re-zip the non windows versions, so this might cause you further problems. If it does, I will kill everyone. With my teeth.

Okay, big new addition is obviously the awesome Sharona art for 8 of the unmutated NPC's, I'll list which ones after a cut to avoid spoilers. As I mentioned in the last post, they are far from perfectly integrated so far - they get covered with writing at some points. This is early days for the graphic integration, and we'll find a much more streamlined way to present them in there soon enough. My current plan is probably going to be to have just all text moved down to the bottom of the screen for the combat scenes, where it normally goes in a hentai game. We'll see though.  This is just a test for having the graphics in there, seeing how they work, getting me used to using them, and figuring stuff out. And letting you see them and have your say on them too, of course.

Other changes -

* There's a cap on how high you can raise your skills by training now - you'll find out what it is when you try to go over it. You'll waste a night of training, but keep your XP.

* Combat first round HP loss bug should be fixed

* There's now a piece of armour to be found in Conflass Gardens

* Also in Conflass, you can find a Clarinet, and spend your evenings learning to play it if you like.

* A few small typos and bug fixes

* Crappy title screen by me.

Still haven't got any more of the Rasna stuff in, sorry. I'll try to get some of that done this weekend, as well as put in a new NPC or two, and add sex scenes for those missing them.

Let us know what you think of the art, and any suggestions you gots for improving its implementation. Looking forward to hearing what you think.  Art breakdown after the cut.

Graphics are going in

Currently playing around with adding some of Sharona's graphics, right now they appear behind the text layer, which often obscures them so it's not ideal, but they are looking ace and I'm crazy excited. It's starting to feel like a Real Game now. This is just the test stages still, so I'm sure we'll find the best way to display them soon.

You guys will have a version with the first half dozen or so npc graphics to play around with sometime between this afternoon and the end of the weekend, and I'm looking forward to hearing what you think.

I'm considering adding a couple of spot sound effects, maybe just a scare chord/announcement sound when an enemy appears, I think it'd add some oomph, but I dunno. How'd you guys feel about that?

EDIT - okay, while the battle stats don't mess things up too much, the big blocks of defeat-scene-text look really ugly and hard to read overlaid on the art. I guess I'm going to have to work out at least a quick bodge before sharing this. I'll have a GUI worthy of sharona's arts one day.

New link for multi format download

Okay, multi format DL vanished from media fire, but all the other stuff was left up, so let's assume it was a glitch and try this again.

http://www.mediafire.com/?eh03h88t08zgw3n

Same version, still with health loss at start of combat glitch.

I'll get a new version done as soon as I can.

Services Resumed - V 0064

Okay, I have a shiny new browser, and can upload again. Really, I should have tried that first. Okay, link to new build for windows -

http://www.mediafire.com/?1bnahmc41wtdina

Multi format build (win/mac/linux)

http://www.mediafire.com/?7a7zr7amtbv033m

Changes to this build -

*The game now runs in a bigger window, to facilitate the graphics when we put those in. This *shouldn't* cause any problems, but it's possible.

*You can now go on playing after day 40! This is probably the most requested thing ever. Now, you get a radio report on day 40 telling you to go to the sea front if you want rescuing. It's up to you. Playing on past day 40 *might well* cause unexpected oddness. Just tell me what happens and we can work it out.

*The way enemies cause damage has changed, now being a variable called EDAM instead of directly reducing the players health. This won't effect anything from a gameplay point of view yet, but it does make it possible to have things like clothing that reduces damage and stuff. This should cause no problems or changes form the player point of view, but again, it's possible.

No typo fixes or new Rasna stuff yet, sorry. Life has been keeping me busy. Maybe if the game gets more popular, I can monetize it a little and be able to justify spending more time on it. I'll try to get another build up soonish with more fun content.

Art request - Sharona is doing amazing work on the character arts, but we still need someone to do us some backgrounds. Anyone out there who might be interested?

EDIT - okay, pre-emptive bug report - just realised I forgot to re-set the EDAM after combats, so combat might be a bit screwy - you might take damage for no clear reason in the first round of a battle. I'll get that fixed as soon as I can, sorry.

Can't Upload

Okay, so I was unable to upload the build last night, and the same thing is happening this morning. It keeps almost getting there, then reporting failure. This is happening with both versions, so I don't think it's an issue with the file, but equally don't know if it's a problem with my computer, my connection, or mediafire.

I'm going to try again when I get back in tonight, if I'm still having issues I'll try a different upload site. Sorry for the delays.

In better news, I now have six awesome Sharona drawn npc images sitting on my hard drive. At this rate, it won't be long till there's enough to start putting them in the game.

Monday, 3 December 2012

New build late today

One day late isn't too bad for me, is it?

It won't be a huge one, mainly back end work. Biggest difference you'll notice play wise is probably that I've changed it so you can go on playing after the 40 days - it's now up to you to go to the beach and get rescued on day 40 if you want to. This might well cause some unexpected bug outs, but we can work on those. This is just probably the main thing people have been asking for, so I thought I'd get it done.

I'll try to get some more fun stuff in too.

Sharona's continuing to do awesome art, still haven't quite decided whether to share them here as they're done or keep them all secret til they're ready to go into the game.

Visual Aids

Incredibly pleased to be able to say that we're starting to get some graphical assets for this crazy thing! Sharona of http://stormcloaca.tumblr.com/ is being awesome enough to provide some arts for the NPC's, and they are looking pretty damn great. Here's the Highland Lassie and the Bossy Redhead.

Sharona also does commissions, so if you want some sexy art in your life, you know where to go. And who doesn't want sexy art in their lives?

There probably won't be any art in the game for a while, but I'm crazy pleased about how these are looking, and thought you guys would like to see too. Awesome shared is awesome squared, and all.

Back

Hi guys, had to leave town unexpectedly for a few days. Things are sorted and I'm back now, going to catch up on emails, and we'll hopefully have our semi-regular weekend update too. More soon.

Sunday, 25 November 2012

Version 0063

Insomnia leaves me with eyes that are 80% burst blood vessel and irrational attacks of paranoia, and you with quick bug fixes and updates! You get the best end of the deal, here.

Here is windows/linux/mac combo download -

http://www.mediafire.com/?ylqxiqdtfh9syss

And 7zip windows only version -

http://www.mediafire.com/?b44rpqg1cj26pez

This should fix the crash people were getting when going into certain areas - when I'd added the plants growing to the other areas, I'd forgot to assign a name to "no plants", and renpy did not like it. Should be fixed now.

I added some expansions to the chavs too, their numbers keep on increasing as time goes by. No sex scenes for them after there's four or more of them yet, I just had the enemy descriptions ready and thought I'd stick them in while I was working.

I forgot to look into the stink bombs not finishing off enemies, I'll do that after the next time I sleep.

Build V0062

Okay!

http://www.mediafire.com/?qxq5n5g0ih5mh5o

This is a joint download for windows, linux and mac versions, so it's a bit bigger. Having issues with internet, so wanted to get everything up in one go, as things kept crashing. Hopefully this won't confuse people too much.

This'll probably get us the issues we had before with windows people having issues with unzipping the zip, so I'll get a 7zip version up for windows as soon as I can too.

EDIT  - 7ZIP WINDOWS ONLY VERSION HERE - http://www.mediafire.com/?yt57iduc2exwb6c

This version has -

TDM's farm girl stuff working!

Some stuff from RickRaptor expanding Rasna, with more to come

A way to de-infect yourself at the pharmacy after Selena has gone, if your int is high enough

Enemy picker for all areas re worked, and a few enemies who should have been transforming and weren't, thanks to a kind guy who pointed out a hugely rookie coding error I was making (It was honestly kind of the equivalent of holding a spoon the wrong way round and wondering why you can't eat your soup)

Huge slew of typos fixed.

growing plants rolled out to all areas, but fruits are still only in butts, lancaster and conflass.

Couple new enemies, a new snapjack who's around and about the areas, and a Manticora, who'll be around Butts Estate from  day 25. NOTE - no sex scenes for these guys yet, sorry. :(

So, sorry for the delays, hope you enjoy the new stuff, and hopefully I can get the next build out sooner.

New Build a little later today...

Watch this space.

I'm just wanting to check something with a guy who's submitted some things I've put in, to make sure I've done it right.

Thanks for the patience, guys.

Delays :(

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delays, been having computer issues. My antivirus got corrupted somehow, and as far as I can tell was continually crashing and restarting, which was slowing my computer to a crawl. It then refused to let me delete it, adding to the fun. After a day or two of fighting, I now have it removed and re installed, though I'm now getting random browser crashes. So, FUN.

I'll try to have an update before the end of tomorrow, and to get back to everyone who's waiting on emails from me too.

Bugs, Placeholders and Arts

Been busy this week, but managing to find a little time to work on this. Answers to things that have been asked a lot -

* Yep, for some reason, the farmgirl scene is NOT triggering when it should. It was before I uploaded version 0.061, and I can't think of what I changed that could have effected it, so I'm trying to puzzle it out.

* Dowdy nerd upgrading to swollen nerd isn't happening either.

* Currently there is no way to get Selena's books form the library - sorry, should have mentioned this. That quests a work in progress/placeholder.

* The spooky house/shop is too.

Working on the farmgirl bug now, not  sure if I should upload new version when I get that fixed, or wait till Sunday and upload a version with extra content. With the nature of the game, having to download the whole thing and losing your saves each time, it seems like it'd be pretty annoying to have a new version that dosen't offer you a fistfull of new stuff.

Thanks for all the bug reports and typo spotting, please send any more to my email address ont he side bar there.

A few people asked if it'd be possible to add graphics - it totally is. Renpy, the tool the games made with, is designed as a visual novel engine, so it'd be a peice of pie to stick graphics in. I'm not an artist though, so I guess we'll have to wait untill the projects big enough to attract some of those guys before that becomes a possibility.

Thanks for all the support guys.

V0.0061. Also, Mac and Linux versions.

Okay, new version. The main addition to this one is a scene involving the farmgirls, written by TheDarkMaster,  which will trigger after you lose to them three times in a row. More details under the cut.

Other than that, just a few bug fixes and similar. Getting trapped in the spooky house shouldn't happen any more now. Didn't sleep last night and have been feeling pretty ragged. I got the enemy list done though, and spent most of the day trying to work out what is causing the unzipping issues so many people are having, so I don't feel too bad.

Other big news is there's now linux and mac versions to download, so if that's your platform of choice and it was stopping you playing, there you go.

I've had more traffic here today than I think I've had ever, it's been kinda overwhelming. Thanks for all the suggestions and feedback. Blogger doesn't seem to let me respond to comments directly, just dropping them to the bottom of the list, which makes responding to people kinda messy. I'll make a post tomorrow and try to cover most of the points people have raised. You've also let me know about about a thousand bugs and typos, so I'll get to work on them too.

Hello Fenoxoites, and 7zip problems

Hello to everyone who came form CoC, and huge thanks to Fenoxo for the link! I think I got more traffic in the last few hours than I have in the last few weeks. Have a look at the game and let me know what you like, hate or think could be improved.

Some people have been having issues with unzipping the game file, so I've just repacked it with 7zip, and we'll see if that's any better. Link is below or to the right.

Note this is the same build - v0.06, just repacked to hopefully fix the problems people have been having. Let me know if this works for you all.

http://www.mediafire.com/?e47pe36dhdw3p0a

Updated version by the end of Sunday, Europe time.

A Spotters Guide to Mutant Minxes

Battleable NPC list is go! There's a link over on the side below the download link, or you can click the link below if you don't want to move your mouse that far.

http://seldompie.blogspot.co.uk/p/enemy-guide.html

It's a bit sparse at the moment, just letting you know what enemies can be found where and when - really just a guide to let people find any NPC's they might have missed. I was thinking of adding more information about them, but I'm still not sure if I want to have that as an in game feature - maybe a note book of another survivor you can find or something, so you can find info without leaving the game - or maybe set up a wiki or something, Most probably, there'll end up being both. Lemme know if there's any more NPC info you'd like to see added.

Update by the end of Sunday again, including TDM's farmgirl stuff that I shamefully forgot last week. I have very little free time at the moment, but am going to try to get into the pattern of having a new version ready for the end of every weekend.

We were getting a big spread on the plant growth - some people getting fruits inside a week, others not getting any till day 30 or later. This'd serve to make all games real different, but could also be frustrating. I could make it standard in all games by tying the growth to the passage of time instead of the rain, like the mutations of the NPC's, but I do kind of like the dynamism of having the plants effected by the weather. What do you all think?

Thanks again for all the feedback!

V0.06 - Growing Like Topsy

Okay, here we go.

http://www.mediafire.com/?phtdy5s5vgpym2j

Not as big an update as I'd wanted, but I'm going to go right on working and there might even be another later tonight. I think I'm slowly getting my drive back.

This one has a load of bug fixes, a couple of new enemies, and a big new feature. I'll discuss it after the cut so as not to spoil if you'd rather find it yourself.

Update later Today

Yep. Might not have everything I'd wanted to have in it, but it'll have a fair chunk of new stuff to play with.
Including something that could well pave the way to TF items for the player, since some folk have been asking for them, and will also hopefully allay the problem of running out of "positive" encounters as the days go by.
It'll be up for download by the end of today, Europe time.

Wednesday, 24 October 2012

Soon :(

Apologies again for delays. I've been busy as all hell and also had to be working mostly at stuff that keeps money coming in and all, but this project is still going to be continued. Also, my GF found out about it, and is cool about me writing absurd porn games for the masses, so I'll be able to work on it more freely and openly now.

Kinda apropos of that, does anyone have any suggestions for a method to accept donations other than paypal? I looked into having a donation button feeding into that, but they seem pretty pissy about withholding payments on technicalities and stuff. The best idea I've got so far is something like a in depth "world guide" available through smashwords, which'd give you extraneous background info - which I'd have no problem with people sharing here or elsewhere - which people could buy if they wanted to show support.

Updated version soon, I got one with a load of bug fixes in, but with the nature of the game - having to download a whole new version for each update and losing your saves - I wanted to keep it till there was actual new gameplay content in the build before releasing.

While I'm on, HUGE thanks to Valente for his link on the Flexible Survival blog, it has boosted my traffic through the roof. You are a legend/ :)

Thanks for all the support, I'll try to answer all the questions raised in the comments to the last post within a day or so.

New Build Sometime This Week

Sorry for the delays, guys, things have been hectic, and I got writing/coding block something chronic. I'll have an update with a slew of bug fixes and a few new monster girls sometime this week. Expect at least a centipede girl, some game over scenarios, a girl with a deadly tongue, a new stat to waste your experience on, and a new class of enemies I'm calling "snapjacks".

I'll try to finally get round to pulling together and posting a list of the encounter-able enemies/npc's though I still kind o f feel like I prefer the possible encounters to stay kind of a surprise.

Gameplay question for you all - roughly how many days is it taking you to unlock all the areas currently? Trying to balance the exploration rate.

New Build - 005

New build!

http://www.mediafire.com/?eyymrdsyv1gz9kl

I managed to get totally confused and did a load of work on an older back up accidentally, so I am now a little unsure as to what I have in the latest version, because I am just awesome like that. I am tried to put back in all the stuff I "lost", but there's bound to be some stuff I missed and will have to re insert. So, might still be some old bugs knocking around, sorry guys. Just yell at me about them again.

New stuff includes - weather system, a fistfull of new enemies, an option to select a starting day with the test character, extended stuff with pharmacy, added the sea front area with some stuff to do there. And a clown-girl. And weapons, of a sort. And probably more. I need to keep better notes.

I'll list the new enemies and where to find them in a bit. A couple of them are "nope" ones rather than cute monster girls, because they are more interesting to write. It is possible that I am leaning to the horror rather than porn element too much in this updates enemies. Blame the weather.

All reports/comments/etc welcome.

New Release this Weekend

Things have been a bit crazy, but we're on schedule for a new version being ready for you to download sometime this weekend.

Aside from minor bug and typo fixes and things, it'll include a new semi random weather system, which'll subtly effect some stuff such as enemy encounters, a big expansion to the Pharmacy, and at least four new enemies. It's kind of hard to judge the exact amount of enemies in the game - would you count the different stages of their mutations as different forms, or not? - but we should be around 40 in the new release.

If you have any suggestions of what you'd like to see in the game - or here on the dev blog - just ask away in the comments.

Here is a nice little map TheDarkMaster from Fenoxo's forums made for the town. It might welp anyone who's feeling a little confused about the towns layout. I like it a lot, really helps give the town a sense of being a solid place.

And We're Live

Okay!

This is the devblog for "Mutant Minx Meltdown - Rise of the Monster Girls", and this is the first post on that devblog.

"MMMRMG" is a text based erotic/pornographic adventure/rpg game, made using Renpy and set approximately in the present day. The male player character is trapped in a small town on an island after a mysterious outbreak has caused all the women on the island to become sex crazed nymphos. The island has been placed under quarantine for 40 days, and the player has survive until it is lifted. As time goes by, the infected women begin to mutate, becoming more dangerous. The sex has mostly femdom themes, as you might guess from the set up.

You move around the game world through a series of menus - "Explore" areas to find further areas to explore, and "scavenge" in them to search for food, which you'll need to survive. Sexual contact with infectees will add to your infection rating, which currently will kill you if it reaches 100%. If you lose a combat while you are carrying food, there's a fair chance your opponent will steal it after screwing you, so it's best to return home once you have gathered a few days forth of supplies.

There are no levels as such, but as you explore and win combats, you'll gather experience, which you can use to increase your stats by training, once you have found the relevant items.

The game has a somewhat campy vibe to it, I like to think of it as the text-porn-game equivalent of a monster invasion/sexploitation b-movie. It don't take itself 100% serious.

The game is not yet complete, by quite a long shot. At present, there's around 30 enemies to encounter, with most content currently stacked to the beginning of the game. It's grown pretty awesomely in the last month since it first shuffled its way out into the world, thanks to the good folks at the Corruption of Champions forum ( MMMRMG thread here), and it's got a lot more growing to do yet. Feedback, bug and typo reports and comments are always appreciated.
